JC Film Box is an independent media company established by writer/director and general creative Jesse Collins, from Perth, Western Australia. Jesse studied Screen and Sound at Murdoch University, and completed a post-graduate diploma in Media Production – writing and directing his science fiction short film, ‘Strange Eyes’.
His next project, The Continuum of Cola Wars, a mock-comedy web-series in pre production, has just recently be accepted by ScreenWest into the 3:1 funding initiative with Pozible. This project is aiming to produce a pilot episode of the series to a very high production value, along with a video media campaign which will target consumers up to high profiles.
Jesse has directed music videos for hip-hop artist KiB, from the group, Project 80 Five. The recent video for KiB, ‘Someday’ was largely his work, from writing to post-production.
Jesse has also begun working for Greening Australia just recently, on commercial based projects of a broader scale.
Jesse is always working to expand his knowledge for screenwriting, and has been developing a feature length pilot for a science fiction television series, currently titled, ‘Key of Life’. This project deals with the rapid progress of modern medicine, which promises to extend our lives – perhaps indefinitely…and the moral complications humanity will be faced with – when society embraces a technologically linked future. This project is still evolving and changing and Jesse wishes to pitch this concept in the coming years to prospective financiers and business partners over in the Eastern states of Australia, but for now ‘The Continuum of Cola Wars’ has taken center stage.
Jesse and his team are currently working through the process of securing funding via an online crowd funding system (Pozible) with a future media campaign and several small content videos to go with it. Also, by qualifying for the new “3:1″ Screen West/Pozible initiative, ‘The Continuum of Cola Wars’ has a chance to have its pledges quadrupled into a budget big enough to make several episodes.
Aside from writing and working in post-production, Jesse has assisted on set for the feature film, ‘The Burning Kiss’, directed by Robbie Studsor, starring Liam Graham and Alyson Walker, as stills photographer, and has assisted on numerous short film and commercial shoots as camera operator/stills photographer/production assist.

‘Beacon of Hope’ was the first music video I directed. I also helped edit and shoot it. Currently it is close to 100,000 views on Youtube.
